On Thursday March 8th join me in celebrating International Women’s Day by committing to #PressForProgress in a way that best suits you, and not just on the day but in the year ahead.

PressforProgress-IWD2018-2

The possibilities are endless:
🌏 post to your social media
🌎 share your story
🌍 donate to a cause
🌎 take affirmative action
🌍 challenge inequality and bias in your workplace or community
🌏 champion education
🌎 forge advancement
🌍 support our global Sisters
🌎 create and post a personalized affirmation for Women and Girls
🌍 light a candle and/or meditate

You can do it! As Eleanor Roosevelt said, “Do one thing every day that scares you.”

I like to think that we can celebrate and honour the Divine Feminine (and Divine Masculine) within us each and every day, but it is for very real reasons that “this day has been dedicated to women around the world and celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity.” (per www.internationalwomensday.com)

Per the IWD website:
“With the World Economic Forum’s 2017 Global Gender Gap Report findings telling us that gender parity is over 200 years away – there has never been a more important time to keep motivated and #PressforProgress. And with global activism for women’s equality fuelled by movements like #MeToo, #TimesUp and more – there is a strong global momentum striving for gender parity.”

Last year’s theme was #BeBoldForChange but “the World Economic Forum predicts the gender gap won’t close entirely until 2186.” I would love to see that gap close in MY lifetime. Dream big, I say!

How will you #PressforProgress in 2018?

Consider how you will #PressforProgress and_ maintain a gender parity mindset challenge stereotypes and bias forge positive visibility of women influence others' beliefs actions _ ce

In many cultures, including the ancient Celtic ways, the day begins not at sunrise but at sunset the evening before. As we enter the new day at sunset tonight, or at any time during International Women’s Day, please take some time — either on your own or in community with family and friends — to send out a strong intention and affirmation for women around the world: for the Maidens, Mothers and Crones; for our Sisters in all cultures, all countries

Thank you 🙏🏻
