The respect of your private life, privacy and personal data is of the utmost importance for Della Ratcliffe, who is responsible for this website, as owner of  Inner Journey Events.

This Privacy Policy aims to lay out:

1. Forms and Methods of Collection


1.1  Your personal information is collected through the following methods:

  • Newsletter subscription opt-in
  • Registration and purchase of one of our courses and/or events, including free products, through our event hosting platforms Ruzuku and Zoom
  • the Contact form on our website, which has an OPT-IN button for joining (or not joining) our newsletter subscription list.  

1.2  The data is collected for the purposes of:

  • communicating with your regarding purchases
  • upcoming special offers
  • emailing our newsletters

1.3  We respect your privacy and DO NOT share or sell your personal information to any third party.

Furthermore, we use it ONLY for the purposes of initial submission (newsletter, course and event registration).

1.4  Storage period

Our website is backed up daily, off-site via iDrive, as well as on Weebly (our hosting provider) but please note that none of your personal information is captured on the Inner Journey Events website with the exception of our Contact Forms, one for Customer/Client Support and one for inquiries re our services.. As noted above in 1.1, the information is saved on our website host Weebly. If the User submits the form with the OPT-IN button clicked to “yes”, we then add  to our newsletter subscription list, with another OPT-IN confirmation.

Furthermore, once per year (during the first week of April), we will email all subscribers inviting them to manage their preferences, including the option to unsubscribe from our newsletters, or to modify those they currently receive.

2. Collection of personal information


2.1  Registration and purchase of courses and events  

When you register for a course or event with us (hosted on the Ruzuku platform), the following information is collected:

  • Last Name (optional for User)
  • First Name
  • Mailing Address

For events are hosted on the Zoom platform, the following information is collected:

  • Last Name (optional for User)
  • First Name 
  • Mailing Address

Payments for the courses is managed through your preferred vendor in the Ruzuku registration process, i.e. PayPal or Stripe Merchant Services. We do not have any visibility to your credit card information, but the following information is available to us:

  • Last Name (optional for User)
  • First Name
  • Mailing Address
  • Country of Residence (for the purpose of submitting the Canadian Goods & Services Tax (aka GST) applicable to purchases by those residing in Canada.

2.2 Newsletter subscribers

Subscriptions to our newsletters have a double opt-in procedure. After subscribing, you will receive an email requesting confirmation of your intent.

The following information is collected in the opt-in procedure:

  • Last Name (optional for User)
  • First Name
  • Mailing Address

3. Hosting of your Personal Information


3.1 Our website is hosted by Siteground,

Siteground is a holding of companies registered in the USA, UK, Bulgaria, Cyprus, and Spain that manages three offices and offers hosting services in several data center locations around the world.

3.2 Our newsletters are hosted on Flodesk

Every newsletter we send has an UNSUBSCRIBE link and a MANAGE YOUR PREFERENCES link, so that users can cancel their subscriptions or modify to add/delete various newsletter options.

3.3 Our courses are hosted on Ruzuku

When the User creates their profile on the platform, it includes a section for managing their email preferences, including frequency and the option to NOT receive emails related to their subscribed course.

3.4 Some of our events are hosted and recorded on Zoom

No User profile is required by Zoom, other than the User’s email collected at event registration to enable providing them with the details for accessing the event on the Zoom platform.

Please note that our company is registered and located in British Columbia, Canada, and complies with all PIPEDA requirements. The transfer of any personal information outside of the EU is justified by the fact that our headquarters are located in Canada.

4. Data Controller

We are the owner-operator registered business in British Columbia, Canada. All responsibility for Data Control belongs with the owner, Della Ratcliffe, including the means and purposes of collecting personal information .

We are committed to protecting all personal information collected, and we will not transmit to a third party. Per PIPEDA, we will use such information only for the purposes by which the information was collected.

If there has been any breach of our process, you will be notified via email.

5. Your rights of Objection, Withdrawal and Cancellation


5.1 Users (course and event participants, newsletter subscribers) have the right to object to the processing of your personal information.

You also have the right to request that your personal information is not added to our newsletter subscription list.

5.2 You have the right to consult, update, modify or request the removal of information about you as follows:

  • Newsletter subscribers may opt-out or update their information via a link on the newsletters they receive. If they are not subscribers, the user must must submit request by email, to, to the data controller (Della Ratcliffe).

6. Principles relating to collection and use of personal data under European Regulation 2016/679


6.1 In accordance with the provisions of Article 5 of European Regulation 2016/679, the collection and processing of your personal data comply with the following principles:

  • Lawfulness, fairness and transparency: your personal data may only be collected and processed with your consent. Every time your personal data is collected, you will be informed that your personal data is collected and for which reasons your personal data is collected;

  • The Controller must answer your request within a period of thirty (30) days.

In the event that the Controller does not answer your request, you wish to challenge his or her decision or you believe one of your rights has been infringed upon, you have the right to submit a complaint to the competent authority.

7.1 Personal information we collect is stored in a secured environment.

People working for us are obligated to respect the confidentiality of your personal information.

7.2 To ensure the security of your personal information, we use the following methods:

  • Other: Any and all personal information is safely stored in 3rd party systems, Flodesk for newsletter subscriptions and Ruzuku for course registrants.

We are committed to maintaining a high degree of confidentiality by integrating the latest technological innovations that allow us to ensure the confidentiality of your transactions. Nevertheless, no mechanism can ensure complete security, and transmitting personal information on the Internet always contains an element of risk.

8. Personal Data of Minors under European Regulation 2016/679


8. 1 In accordance with the provisions of Article 8 of Regulation 2016/679, only minors over 15 years of age may consent to the processing of their personal data.

8.2 If you are a minor under the age of 15, the consent of a legal representative is required in order for your personal data to be collected and processed.

8.3 We reserve the right to verify by any means that you are over 15 years of age or that you have obtained the consent of a legal representative before using our Website.
