Wisdom from Seanmháthair Gealach (Grandmother Moon) at the Waxing Crescent Moon
I love this time in the early days of our lunar journey. We have moved away from the dark of the New Moon, and each day see the lunar illumination increase. We are on our way to the Full Moon — focused… manifesting… intentional… creative…full of new ideas and perhaps even new insights as — as we too “wax lyrical”!
Is there anything more precious than freedom of thought and new perspectives? Such a treasure… that ability to think, evaluate, analyze, question, probe and focus. Savour that. Remember what it feels like, where it sits in your body. For me it’s in the Solar Plexus Chakra, our place of power and connection to the Universe.
As you create and manifest your intentions, pause for a moment and ask the Soul Question, “What do I stand for in this world?” and “Does what I am now manifesting reflect that?”
The work that we do and the beliefs that we hold — especially those of us who follow earth-based spirituality or work in alternative health or other so-called “woo woo” modalities — are at times misjudged or misunderstood.
But do not let that constrain you. Trust and follow your heart and your passion. Free your mind and be open to the possibility that there IS magick and amazement and wonder and beauty beyond your current dreams or thoughts….and the (possibly) judgmental beliefs of others.
And be skeptical: do not accept blindly all that is put forward as Truth by others. Many of those “truths” are beliefs in disguise, and serve to oppress and inhibit rather than elevate or expand humanity.
As Voltaire said, “Dare to think for yourself.”
And maybe Virginia Woolf summarized it best, in her classic “A Room of One’s Own”:
“Lock up your libraries if you like; but there is no gate, no lock, no bolt that you can set upon the freedom of my mind.”
Go forth with intention.
Manifest from your Soul… your Heart… from your Wise Inner Self and Goddess within.
Radiate your light in the world!
